30 Jul The gift of my Aba
My father left his body over a month ago. Such a potent time.
It is such an awakening experience to be near death.
A fierce reminder that every moment we are is an actual gift,
every breath we take is not to be taken for granted.
We are here for a blink of an eye.
What do we cherish for the brief time we are here for?
What is left once we're gone?
All that remains is the love we share, the love we communicate, the love we are.
My father always shared his love with me and with the world.
For me, this is the gift of his legacy.
This is what I aspire to share with my children, with my family, with the circles of friends and with the world I live in.
What else is there?
May we always be present and trust beyond doubt: We are indeed made of Love.

you are a credit to your aba…. and everyone knows it!
…………..
Sometimes the heart becomes so full
A person just drops dead
Sometimes the dance is so wild and passionate
That this body breathes out
and gives up this limited coil
And throws itself whirling into the infinite
Sometimes the mind can only take so much joy
Inshallah!
Before exploding its tiny and personal story
Into the light filled cosmos
And the sacred blood starts flowing
In the veins of the timeless realm
Joining the free river flowing in the empty sky
Sometimes life can be so full of love
Unexplainable and impossible to grasp
That the body’s cells exhausted melt
From trial and tribulation
Dissolve and scatter into the ocean of bliss
Oh dance until the dance tears your tears from you
And you are left a broken truth
Mended in the eyes of the divine
Here death, she is a doorway
Inshallah Inshallah
