הנחש בראשי מתפתל מלמד אותי איך את הפחד ניתן להשיל

כל החול צבעוני וזוהר בקרניים חמות משתנות, משתנות, משתנות,

Hanigun Menagen Oti – The Melody is playing me

When I sit in the bare desert and I see within me a place of desolation

I just want to discover in the desert of people, the Heart of the well that expresses Life

It is the view in front of me that knows my name, it is the Silence- not me – that remembers the words

The snake in my head is slithering, teaching me how to shed Fear

All the sand is colourful  and shines with ever changing hot rays

‘In the Fear of Fear lies the Pain- Death is not for the One who Loves’  they say

In every view there is a hint that is coming towards me

If I am truly listening- the melody is playing me

When I am in front of the ocean and waves are washing me, cooling down the fire of rage

from the forgetfulness of our good loving warm home, in the sea of people

A whale of the depth is sharing its secrets, it is the magic that is calling us to return home

It is the view in front of me that is calling my name – it is the Silence that is breathing us

In every view there is a hint that is coming towards me

If I am truly listening- the melody is playing me

Call it God, call it YourSelf, or whatever name you want

Call it Family, Rest, The Source that is with you, like the view in front of you

That is teaching the wonder, the many shades, the many faces

It is simple because we are born every new moment into the next one

the day i saw you something sang without a voice

i could hear the silent music i did not have a choice

as if the sea can choose a river or a mountain eagles nest

I know not what came over me I only felt my broadened chest

When at dusk I saw the silver sliver, that hour between the worlds

something sang again, the old & rusted bronze shield i carried turned to gold

from dust to dust from dusk to dawn i couldn’t lie at all

Although I tried I failed each time, you know, you’ve seen me fall

The rhymes and rhythms came and went, the meanings always stayed

and when it seemed as though they left, I felt somewhat betrayed
